The Workshops Rail Museum is a wholly interactive authentic heritage and cultural experience located at the birthplace of rail in Queensland. Explore over 15 larger-than-life interactive exhibits, multi-media encounters and colorful stories which are coupled with huge steam locomotives, massive industrial machinery and over 140 years of history to make for a visitor experience second to none with unique sights, sounds and smells. Go into the active railway workshops to see real restoration and maintenance work up close. Enjoy lunch from the Café and receive a special memento of your visit. Behind the Scenes Tours operate daily between 10:30am and 1:30pm and run for 30 minutes.
