Valid for 01APR26-31MAR27:
A Quokka Adventure Tours coach will pick up from select Perth City accommodation. Upon leaving the city, we drive around the Swan River, driving through Perth’s wealthiest riverside suburbs and passing iconic landmarks along the way. We do a short stop at Mosman Bay where you stretch your legs and look for dolphins and the many species of birds that call the river home. Learn a bit about the history of the Swan River and it's flora and fauna. We now drive along the coast to Cottesloe Beach, one of Perth’s iconic beaches. Popular with families due to the calmer waters and ample shade where you can sit and enjoy the views. Here you will have time for a swim or get an ice cream (at own expense) to enjoy overlooking the ocean. We now drive along the coast passing City Beach before stopping for a picnic dinner at Scarborough Beach. Renowned for its pristine white sand, clear waters, and vibrant atmosphere, it offers a range of activities for visitors of all ages. In the 1950s and 1960s, Scarborough Beach was a vibrant hub for Perth’s youth culture. The original Snake Pit, a dance venue, became the epicenter for the "bodgies" and "widgies" youth subcultures characterised by their distinctive fashion and dance styles. This venue was pivotal in shaping the local rock’n’roll scene, attracting crowds eager to dance to the latest hits. In 2018, the City of Stirling revitalized the area, transforming the historic Snake Pit into a state-of-the-art skate and BMX facility. There are beautiful grassed areas and an ampitheatre overlooking the beach along with numerous bars and cafes. You will have time to grab a coffee or drink (at own expense) and go for walk on the beach or just sit and enjoy the view. It’s now to watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean, carefully chosen for its panoramic views. You can see Rottnest Island on the horizon as well as the numerous ships anchored in Gage Roads, patiently waiting their turn to dock in Fremantle Harbour. As the sun slowly sinks below the horizon, enjoy a gourmet light supper featuring Margaret River wine and seasonal produce with cheeses, crackers, a selection of cured meats, dips and fresh vegetables. After dinner we will drive to Claisebrook Cove to see the Optus Stadium and Matagarup Bridge. A spectacular site at night and great place to take some photos. Our last stop is Kings Park to see the city lights, a favourite night spot for photographers. Perched high above the Swan River on Mount Eliza, Kings Park offers sweeping, uninterrupted views of Perth’s skyline, which comes alive as night falls. It’s a view that not only showcases Perth’s beauty, but also offers a moment of quiet reflection, a chance to pause and appreciate the wonder of the city below. You can enjoy a locally handcrafted dessert for something sweet as you take in the views. Tour concludes with drop-offs back to select Perth City accommodation.
