Through engaging stories, your local guide will bring to life the heritage of First Nations people, cattle duffers, and explorers, as well as the industries that shape the region today. In the afternoon, step into history as you journey through the lands of the Mandandanji people and follow the paths of early explorers. Stand where Major Mitchell once marvelled at the vast pastoral grasslands and see the last known location of Ludwig Leichhardt before he vanished into the outback. Travel by 4WD mini-bus to the summit of Mt Abundance, a wildlife refuge where wedge-tailed eagles soar and ancient bottle trees thrive. Enjoy a picnic lunch with breathtaking views at Massey Downs Station, then explore its beautifully maintained country gardens.
