On this adventurous day out, you'll drive across sand tracks to explore some of the most beautiful, natural spots and listen to fascinating facts about the island's history, flora and fauna. Custom-designed 4WD coaches are air conditioned for your comfort and fitted with panoramic windows. At the end of the day, board the 05.00pm ferry back to River Heads where our shuttle service will take you back to your accommodation (drop-off between 06.00pm and 07.00pm). Lake McKenzie (Boorangoora): K’gari’s most iconic, picture-perfect swimming spot! Immerse yourself in the crystal-clear blue fresh water and relax on the sandy white beaches. Central Station: A former logging station that housed schools and shops for the bustling timber industry is now a tourist stop. Stroll along the Wanggoolba Creek boardwalk to discover the ancient King Ferns, towering Flooded Gums and Pine trees. Pile Valley: Wander through the subtropical rainforest and marvel at the centuries-old Satinay trees and towering palms. 75 Mile Beach: As you travel along this golden beach highway, you may spot dingoes, birds of prey flying above, or humpback whales, migrating down the coast (between July – October). Eli Creek: Float gently down this tranquil, tree-lined creek with four million litres of fresh water flowing into the Pacific Ocean every hour. Maheno Shipwreck: Marvel at the rustic wreck of the Maheno, which washed ashore during an out-of-season cyclone in 1935. It’s one of K’gari’s most recognisable sites.~~~~
Important Info:	Valid for 25MAY26-22NOV26: Refurbishment at K'gari Beach Resort: - The kitchen floor is being replaced, and the restaurant is therefore closed. - A temporary restaurant has been set up in the bakery, with the same menu and offering as normal. During the restaurant closure, the bakery is set up as a restaurant with the same offering to no impact. The normal bakery offerings are consolidated to the shop. - The work for restaurant commenced on the 25th of May and is scheduled to conclude on the 22nd of June. From the 13th of July, room refurbishments will commence which include installation of air conditioning and wifi as well as bathroom renovations in 30 rooms. The disruption during all works are minimal and the works are expected to conclude by the end of November. - Days and times: Monday to Friday between 07:00am and 04:00pm. - Level of work: Intermediate (including hammering and power tools). Valid for 01APR25-31MAR27: Important Information: - Please advise any dietary requirements at the time of booking. - Please advise pick-up and drop-off locations. - Guest phone or email contact details are requested at the time of booking. - Itinerary and timings are subject to change due to weather, track and tide conditions. - Queensland law states that all passengers must be suitably restrained including infants. Booster seats are required. If guests are unable to supply their own, please request at time of booking. - Tour offers a foreign language app which can be downloaded free from the Apple Store or Google Play (Search for "Kgari Explorer Tours"). - Passengers must be ready and waiting outside the designated pick-up location. Tour is unable to wait for delayed flights or late passengers. Cancellation Policy Valid for 01APR25-31MAR27: 1 Day and 2 Day Tours: - A fee of 50% of tour cost will be charged for bookings cancelled 48-24 hours prior to travel. - No refund for bookings cancelled 24 hours or less prior to travel or in the event of a no-show. 4 Day and 5 Day Tours: - No refund for bookings cancelled 14 days or less prior to travel or in the event of a no-show.
